Mrs. Jackson gives the table below to her students.

In order for the function to be linear, what must m be and why?

m = 22 because the rate of change is 1.

m = 20 because the rate of change is 3.

m = 22 because the rate of change is - 1.

m = 20 because the rate of change is - 3.

    Well, first I need the table to figure that out because to make something a function it can't repeat ... so which of these numbers doesn't repeat in the chart?
