The hypotenuse is 10 and one leg is 9 what is the other leg?

    Asq+bsq=csq

    asq+9sq=10sq

    asq+81=100

    asq=19

    sqrta=sqrt19

    a=about 4.36

    you can use the Pythagorean theorem a^2+b^2=c^2

    so a^2+9^2=10^2

    a^2+81=100

    a^2-81=100-81

    a^2=19

    then you square root that and your answer is 4.358
