The population of Valleytown is 5,000, with an annual increase of 1,000. Can the expected population for Valleytown be modeled with an exponential growth function? Explain.

    Hello there!

    The expected population for Valleytown cannot be modeled with an exponential function since it is not being multiplied nor divided. This would be an arithmetic function/sequence since it is adding. It also has a fixed increase value while in an exponential function it changes.
