    "How tall is the refrigerator if it has a square base with sides that are 3 feet long and a capacity of 40.5 cubic feet?"

    :

    The volume in cubic ft; Length * Width * Height = 40.5

    The base is square therefore the length and width = 3, we will find h

    3 * 3 * h = 40.5

    9h = 40.5

    divide both sides by 9

    h = 40.5/9

    h = 4.5 ft tall

    :

    Check this; 3 * 3 * 4.5 = 40.5
