Answer:the portion of the pizza that has just cheese left is 5/12

    Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the size of the extra large pizza that Suzanne and her friends ordered.

They requested that pepperoni be placed on one-third of the pizza. This means that the portion of the pizza that is covered by cheese would be 1/3 * x = x/3

They also requested that sausage be placed one-fourth of the pizza and to leave the rest of the pizza just plain cheese. This means that the portion of the pizza that is covered by sausage would be 1/4 * x = x/4

The total portion of the pizza covered by pepperoni and sausage is

    x/3 + x/4 = 7x/12

The portion of the pizza that had just cheese would be

    x - 7x/12 = 5x/12
