What is the circumference of a circle circumscribed around a rectangle with sides 7 cm and 24 cm?

    The first thing to do is use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the hypotenuese of the rectangle, which will also be the diameter of the circle.

    a2 + b2 = c 2

    49 + 576 = the square root of 625

    The square root of 625 = 25

    Now that we know the value of the diameter, 25 we can use the formula for Circumference, which is pi (3.14) times the diameter.

    Do the multiplication and that should give you the answer.
