Siobhan wants to find a rectangular plot of land with an area of 57 ms. If she

finds a plot whose width is 15 m, what must be the length? Is this an example

of direct variation or inverse variation?

    You are given the area and the width, so to find the length, divide the area by the width:

    Length = Area / width

    Length = 57 / 15 = 3.8 m.
