    130 meters

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Puppy 1

    d=rt

    We know the rate = 1.5 m/s and the time = 1/2 minute = 30 seconds

    d = 1.5 * 30 = 45 meters

    Puppy 2

    d=rt

    We know the rate = 2.5 m/s and the time = 1/2 minute = 30 seconds

    d = 2.5 * 30 = 75 meters

    The puppies ran a total of 75+45 = 120 meters

    The total distance was 250

    250-120 = 130

    There was still a gap of 130 meters between the puppies.
