    So the surface area of a box has this equation: A = 2 (wl + hl + hw)

    w = width = 38

    l = length = 38

    h = height = 0.25

    Plugging in:

    A = 2 ((38*38) + (38*0.25) + (38*0.25))

    = 2926 square meters

    So this box will probably be very flat. Draw it out. There would be 4 surfaces with the surface area of 0.25*38. Which equals 9.5. Multiply that by 4 and it's 38. Now take the bigger surfaces. They will be 38 squared, which is 1444. Multiply that by 2, because there are 2 of those surfaces, and you get 2888. To get the total you add them up: 38+2888=2926. So the answer is 2926 meters squared.
