    We are given the equation

    log (-5.6x + 1.3) = - 1

    First, we take each side of the equation as the exponent of 10

    10^l og (-5.6x + 1.3) = 10^-1

    -5.6x + 1.3 = 0.10

    -5.6x = 0.10 - 1.3

    -5.6x = - 1.2

    -5.6x/-5.6 = - 1.2/-5.6

    x = 0.21
