    How do you simplify 4x^3 (x^2 - 5x+4)

    Use distributed property

    4x^3 (x^2 - 5x+4)

    4x^3 (x^2) + 4x^3 (-5x) + 4x^3 (4)

    Note exponents are added

    4 (1) x^3+2 + 4 (-5) x^3+1+4 (4) x^3

    4x^5-20x^4+16x^3
