Q and R are independent events.

P (Q) = 12/17 and P (R) = 3/8

Find P (Q and R). Write your answer in simplest form.

    P (Q and R) =

    = P (Q) * P (R)

    = 12/17 * 3/8

    = (4 * 3 * 3) / (17 * 4 * 2)

    = 9/34
