    First, write the equations in standard form.

    12x-y=18

    13x-y=18

    Multiple the bottom equation by - 1

    12x-y=18

    -13x+y=-18

    Add.

    -x=0

    x=0 Plug into other equation

    12 (0) - y=18

    0-y=18

    -y=18

    y=-18
