    White Marbles (w) = 1 + 3r

    Red Marbles (r) = r

    1 + 3r + r = 69

    1 + 4r = 69

    - 1

    4r = 68

    r = 17

    There are 17 red marbles.

    White Marbles = 1 + 3 (17)

    3 * 17 = 51

    51 + 1 = 52

    There are 52 white marbles.
