When dividing in the scientific notation do you change the sign of the second base number?

    When you divide using scientific notation, you are basically subtracting the exponents sepretately from the base, and depending on the number you are dividing, you're dividing the second base into the first base, example:

    8x^3

    4x^2

    the problem is basically

    8:4 (x^3-2)
