    The geaometric sequence is a sequence with first term (a) = 3, common ratio (r) = 12/3 = 4

    nth term = ar^ (n-1)

    8th term = 3 (4) ^ (8 - 1) = 3 (4) ^7 = 3 (16,384) = 49,152
