    Explanation:

    You would set it up like this

    Y-4=-2 (x+3)

    then you have to distribute the - 2 inside the parenthesis like this

    Y-4=-2x-6 and if you got this y-4=-2x + (-6) that's okay too but the first one I showed is the same thing (it'll be easier to do)

    Then you have to cancel out the - 6 like this

    Y-4=-2x-6

    +6 + 6

    Then you should get something like this

    Y+2=2x

    Then you have to distribute the 2x like this

    Y+2=2x

    - -

    2. 2

    Then you get

    Y=x therefore your answer is no solution
