A driveway is in the shape of a rectangle 20 feet wide by 35 feet long. What is the perimeter?

    Answer: 110 feet

    For any rectangle, the opposite sides are the same length. This rectangle has one pair of opposite sides that are 20 feet long. The other pair of opposite sides are 35 feet long.

    Add up the four sides to get the perimeter.

    The perimeter is 20+20+35+35 = 40+70 = 110 feet.

    Or you can use the formula below

    P = 2 * (L+W)

    P = 2 * (20+35)

    P = 2 * (55)

    P = 110
