What is the slope of the line given by the equation y 2 = - 3 (x - 7?

    (not sure if its supposed to be - 2 or + 2 so I'll do both)

    y - 2 = - 3 (x - 7)

    y - 2 = - 3x + 21

    +2 + 2

    y = - 3x + 23 (The slope is - 3)

    y + 2 = - 3 (x - 7)

    y + 2 = - 3x + 21

    -2 - 2

    y = - 3x + 19 (The slope is still - 3)
