What is the vertex of the function x2 - 7x - 18 = 0?

    Y = x^2 - 7x - 18

    = (x^2 - 7x + 49/4) - 18 - 49/4

    = (x-7/2) ^2 - 121/4

    Therefore vertex is (7/2, - 121/4)
