The Smith family rented a recreational vehicle for a seven-day vacation. The cost to rent the recreational vehicle was $560 plus $0.50 per mile. How many miles were driven if the total cost was $1350?

    First you find out how much money is owed by the smith family for just the $0.50 per mile. You take the full owed amount and subtract the $560 to rent it which will give you with $790.00. Then you take 790 number and divide by. 5 for $0.50. Your answer then would be 1,580. The smith family traveled 1,580 miles
