A rectangle has a length of 6cm and a width of 3cm. Each side is doubled in length What is the ratio of the areas of the two rectangles?

    18:72 or 1:4 if you simplify it.

    6 cm * 3 cm=18 cm <-area #1

    6*2=12 and 3*2=6

    12 cm * 6 cm=72 cm <-area #2
