    (-1,3) ... x = - 1 and y = 3

    slope (m) = - 1

    y = mx + b ... we have x, y, and m ... now we need to find y int (b)

    3 = - 1 (-1) + b

    3 = 1 + b

    3 - 1 = b

    2 = b

    so ur parallel equation is : y = - 1x + 2 ... or just y = - x + 2
