A professional chef has a cone shaped strainer with a diameter of 6 inches and a height of 10 inches. If the chef can fill it to the top with rice, how many cubic inches will the cone hold?

    The cone will hold 94.25 cubic inches. The volume of a cone is V=πr^2 h/3

    R is the radius and H is the height. The radius is half of the diameter, so in this problem the radius would be 3. The height is given as 10. Plug these numbers into the equation and you get 94.25.
