Explain how you round 5 1/8 to the nearest whole number

    First, you need to see what numbers you have right in front of you. 5 1/8, right?

    Second, you round it. You either round up or down. 5 and above, give it a shove. 4 and below, let it go; as what my school usually says when I was younger.

    Third, 5 1/8 - 1/8 isn't 5/8 or above, so you round down!

    Finally, 5 1/8 would be rounded to 5.
