It would take + 7 joules if the starting temperature is = to 25 degrees Celsius. To raise the temperature by 1 it would take 7 joules.

    1 degree = + 7 joules

    25 degrees = + 175 Joules.

    7 joules + 175 joules = 182 Joules

So the bar of gold will have to be 182 Joules to reach 26 degrees Celsius.
