    Make a system of equations. The variable names are the first letter of the animal:

    t = 2l

    b = t-7

    m = 5b

    m = 25

    Substitute the last equation into the third to get 5 bears. Keep substituting upwards, getting 12 tigers and 6 lions. Add all the numbers to get 25+5+12+6 = 48 total animals
