    Paul = 30 pounds

    Step-by-step explanation:

    If Adam (A), Paul (P) and Jake (J) together they weigh 180 pounds (A+P+J=180); and Adam and Jake is 2:3 (2A=3J) then how much does paul weigh?

    A+P+J=180, 2A=3J, J=60 we have; A = (3/2) J = (3/2) * 60 → A=90, 90+P+60=180 →

    P=180-90-60 → P=30
