Ron's piano lesson starts in 2 hours. It takes him 30 minutes to get to the lesson. He has

45 minutes of homework, and he must walk his dog for 25 minutes. Ron wants to know

he has enough time to finish his homework and walk the dog before his lesson. Explain

whether he should find an underestimate or an overestimate of the total time needed

Then estimate the total time and tell whether Ron has enough time for both tasks

    120 - (45+25)

    120 - (70)

    50

    Ron has enough time to finish his homework and walk the dog before his lesson. Ron should overestimate the total time needed. Since Ron has 50 minutes to spare he could add 25 to home work time and another 25 to walking his dog. he still ha time to do both.
