Write a two column proof for the following statement. "Given that 2 (-x + 4) = 3, prove that x = 5/2.

    2 (-X+4) = 3. x = 5/2. PLUG IN X!

    2 (-5/2+4) = 3. Distribute the 2

    2 * (-5/2) = - 5

    2*4=8

    -5+8 = 3
