    The man's height in ratio to the shadow casted is 6:11. Each feet of the man is 1.83333333 feet to the shadow. Divide 33 feet of the shadow by 1.83333333 to obtain 18 feet of the height of the tree.

    Set up a proportion:

    6 feet over 11 feet long equals x feet over 33 feet long

    6/11 = x/33

    198 = 11x

    x = 18

    The height of the tree is 18 feet tall
