Last school year the enrollment of Genoa Middle School was 465 students. This year the enrollment is 525. What is the percent of change rounded to the nearest whole?

    Okay since the numbers increased, these are the steps to find the percentage.

    1: find the difference between the 2 numbers. So 525 - 465 = ?

    2: divide the answer you got in # 1 by the original number which is 465.

    3: multiply the answer you got in number 2 by 100.

    4: add a percent sign at the end of your answer in #3 and there ya go.

    Technically I think its is 99% because 525+465 = 990 so in fraction it would be 990 / 1000 so if u take out a zero itwould be 99 / 100 so it would be %90
