In order to make green paint a 2:3 ratio of blue paint to yellow paint is used. If there are 30 ounces of green paint, how many ounces of blue paint was used?

    2. Divide the total by 5 - > 30/5 = 6, meaning each part of the ratio is represented by 6 ounces

    3. 2 * 6 = 12 and 3 * 6 = 18, meaning 12 ounces of blue paint and 18 ounces of yellow paint were used to make this green

    4. Then, divide 12 by 30 and simplify to find out which student is correct

    5. 40% of the paint in the container is blue paint, find the fraction equivalent to 40% which is 2/5
