    8 pies

    Step-by-step explanation:

Each Pie was cut into 5 pieces.

There were a total of 60 pieces to sell.

First we determine the number of pies that was cut into 60 pieces.

    Number of Pies Cut = 60 : 5 = 12

Since the cafeteria contributed 4 pies to the sale, the rest were made by the club.

Number of Pies Made by the Club = 12-4 = 8 pies

The cooking club made 8 pies.
