there are 60 students in a speech contest. Yesterday, 2/3 of them gave their speeches. Today, 1/5 of the remaining students gave their speeches. How many students still haven't give their speeches?

    60 divided by three (aka the denominator of the first fraction) is 20 multiply that by 2 is 40. 60 divided by 5 is 12. 12 plus 40 is 52. Therefor you know that that the answer is 8. more people need to still give there speech
