    1 yard = 3 feet

    x yard = 9 feet

    9 divided by 3 = 3

    so 1 x 3 = 3 (3 yards = 9 feet)

    3 yards = one balloon

    number of balloons:

    3 x 72 = 216

Jada would need 216 yards of string
