There are a total of 125 students, 65 of whom play on an athletic team, and (125-65), or 60, who do not.

The ratio of students who do not play on an athl. team to all of the students i thus 60/125, or 12/25, or 0.48.

Ok so you subtract 65 from 125 to get the kids who AREN'T in any athletic team (60). SO then you get 60:125, or 12:25 simplified
