Logan and Sarah work at a dry cleaners ironing shirts. Logan can iron 40 shirts per hour, and Sarah can iron 35 shirts per hour. Logan and Sarah worked a combined 13 hours and ironed 490 shirts. Determine the number of hours Logan worked and the number of hours Sarah worked.

    (I think) Logan worked 7hrs and ironed 280 shirts whilst Sarah worked 6hrs and ironed 210 shirts.

    Logan worked 7 hours and Sarah worked 6 hours. Sarah has to work within the multiples of to for it to be an even number such as 2 4 6 hours which equal 70 140 and 210 which end in 0's. Guess and check. Sarah 210 shirts = 6 hours. Logan 280 shirts = 7 hours
