A rectangular field measures 81 meters by 108 meters. What will it cost to cover the field with pallets of grass each covering 90 square yards and costing $250 per pallet? (Hint: 1 yd almost equals 0.9 m )

    81x108 meters = 8748 square meters.

    Convert to yards, I'm assuming your teacher wants you to use 0.9 for simplicity: 8748 x 0.9 = 9720 sq yards.

    9720 / 90 = you need 108 pallets to cover the field.

    108 X 250$ = 27000$ to cover the field
