(4/x) - (2/5) = (6/x)
Move the variables to one side:
- (2/5) = (6/x) - (4/x)
Then simplify:
- (2/5) = (2/x)
- (2/5) x = 2
x = - 5
You can check by substituting the solution back in, replacing the variable.
