    1 pair of canvas is $7, therefore

    6 pairs of canvas will be $ 42. while

    1 pair of leather shoe is $35, thus

    3 pairs of leather shoes is $105

    Hence the ratio of the cost of canvas shoes to that of leather shoe will be;

    $42 : $105 (simplifying)

    = 6 : 15

    = 2: 5; therefore the ratio is 2/15
