How do you solve 4w^2+4w+1=168

    You first have to move the 168 to the left so you subtract it to both sides

    4w^2+4x+1-168=0

    then you combine the 1 and - 168

    4x^2+4x-167=0

    then you could use the quadratic formula to solve for x

    -b (+or - ) squareroot (b^2-4ac) all divided by 2a

    a=4

    b=4

    c=-167
