    (0,1), (5,0)

    slope = (0 - 1) / (5 - 0) = - 1/5

    the y int (when x = 0) is 1

    A perpendicular line will have a negative reciprocal slope. All that means is flip the slope and change the sign. So we have a slope of - 1/5 ... we flip it and it becomes - 5/1 ... we change the sign and it is 5/1 or just 5.

    and ur y int stays the same at 1

    so ur perpendicular equation is : y = 5x + 1 <==

    The original line looks like this:

    y = - 1/5x + 1

    To make it perpendicular, we have to change the slope to its reciprocal, which in this case, is positive 5.

    y = 5x + 1
