10 friends got into the fair

    Step-by-step explanation:

If county fair cost is $2.5 per person

    $10 to catch a trolley

    total cost = $35

Total county fair cost = total cost - trolley cost

    = $35 - $10

    = $25

So if $25 was spent on county fair, then the number of friends that went is

    $25/$2.5 = 10

That is total cost divided by cost per person gives number of persons
