2 (3x - 4) = 8 + 2x + 4 is shown below:

Step 1: 2 (3x - 4) = 8 + 2x + 4

Step 2: 5x - 6 = 12 + 2x

Step 3: 5x - 2x = 12 + 6

Step 4: 3x = 18

Step 5: x = 6

    Step two he said 2 (3x-4) is 5x-6 when he added when he should have used multiplication to solve this part making the correct step 6x-8
