Simplifying is very easy. First keep the whole number aside and deal with the fraction. The numerator is greater then the denominator and that can't do. So 5 can into 6 once and you'll have a remainder of 1/5 since you keep your denominator. That one that you had you add it to the whole number so the total would be 7 1/5
