    Applying equation of the second degree we have that

    A=5

    B=7

    C=2

    Solving the quadratic equation it gives us as result that has two real solutions

    X1 = - 1

    X2 = - 2/5

    To get the real solutions we factorize the expression:

    5x^2+7x+2

    we look for two numbers such that when we multiply we get 5x2=10 and when we add w get 7.

    The numbers are 5 and 2;

    thus:

    5x^2+7x+2

    =5x^2+5x+2x+2

    =5x (x+1) + 2 (x+1)

    = (5x+2) (x+1)

    thus the real solutions will be:

    x=-1 and x=2/5

    hence the number of real solutions is 2
