In a certain region the number of highway accidents increased by 20% over a four years. How many accidents were in the 2006 if there was 5120 in 2002? hint when the percent increases if you want the original 100% plus the additional 20%

    5120 (1.20) = 6144 <=

    or u could do it this way as well ...

    5120 + 0.20 (5120) = 5120 + 1024 = 6144 <=
