3/5 + 2/4=?
first you have to do 3/5 times 4 and that equals 12/20.
next you do 2/4 times five and that equals 10/20.
then you add those and you get 22/20 = 1 2/20 and when you simplify 2/20 you get 1/10.
your answer is 1 and 1/10
