The price of diesel is $1.479 per litre. It cost Steve $83.80 to top up his van with diesel. The fuel tank has a capacity of 95 litres. How many litres of diesel did Steve buy?

    Just divide the price of diesel per litre to the cost he paid for the diesel.

    83.8 / 1.479 = 56.659 or approximately 56.66 liters of diesel.
